  1. Let's be fair. A talented 19 year old would show glimpses here and there. Brereton was really poor 😂
  2. That's exactly what I thought reading that article. Small to no budget, not bothered about winning, just put players in the shop window.
  3. So in January he thought the club was fine, no issues behind the scenes. "It’s a club I feel is growing, is going in the right direction, lots of good young players." Yet now he's leaving it's a small budget, lost key backroom staff and doesn't have enough experienced players. It's one or t'other Tony.
  4. His goals record is poor considering Bradley Johnson got 6 in a lot fewer games!
  5. Jesus. 28 and had one good season. That would be up there with Luke Varney and Chris Brown 👌
  6. I believe - according to the LET anyway, that when he signed his scholarship forms he also signed a pro contract that will kick in this summer. Let's hope that's the case anyway!
  7. A few first decent first team appearances by Phillips next season and his value will increase 5 fold. I'm with you on BBD. It's the old rovers dilemma. I've no doubt Forest have a decent sell on clause so given what we paid for him, we may not come out with much.
  8. There's no way we should be letting the Phillips lad leave for that amount. If he's that good at a young age, then you'd want a damn sight more.
  9. Irony is that Gallagher was laying into Mowbray's tactics/selections early season and getting grief off the happy clapper brigade.
  10. To be fair I think most felt he should have gone the season prior. Where, with plenty of older pros, a 30 goal striker and one of the brightest young talents in the game, he managed to put together the worst run in our history. This season we over achieved early on to get in an unexpectedly good position. At that time it's churlish to criticise an over achievement so people just piped down and hoped he could keep it up. Sure to form though, he managed to unravel the good work through poor tactics, selections and January window. I genuinely don't know anybody - here or in the real world - that over the last 18 months wanted Mowbray to extend his contract.
  11. And funnily enough he's today bemoaned lack of goals as to why we didn't get in the playoffs... ...which is what most of this board said would happen in Jan and why we needed a striker.
  12. I'm quite happy for Mowbray to start throwing a couple of grenades the owners way. A) It reminds the media and general fanbase that venkys are still an issue. It may persuade venkys to throw a bit of money at the next appointment to deflect the pressure away from them again. It's a fools hope but you cling to owt these days.
  13. Wouldn't want Brown as a regular Right back but rather have him than JRC if we're short.
  14. Diaz has learnt nothing from Peterborough. Went down looking for a free kick in exactly the same position. Didn't get this one either. Hold the ball up FFS.
  15. If he doesn't know where they are, how does he know they aren't above us 🤷🏻‍♂️
  16. So he should be. Ideal for him - close to his family. If he wasn't interested then clearly the family angle he's been trotting out is pure bollocks.
