  1. Don't t think we'll hold out but nick the points here and that us a massive confidence boost for the team.
  2. Austin and Gray are 2 very good strikers at this level, not sure the rest of the QPR team is that good.
  3. Would you be bothered if we got promoted and then replaced Mowbray?
  4. Tricky one Gav. I was thinking the same thing. Do you stick with what we have (which is currently working well) or if we are still top 6 come January, bring in a marquee signing for impetus. I think we definitely need another winger in. Personally think that a 'marquee' signing needs to be an experienced striker. Kaminiski, Ayala, Bradley Johnson (and hopefully Dack) add experience in other areas. BBD can't score every game. Gallagher isn't prolific and often injured. Dolan/Butterworth are promising but inexperienced. No idea who but the equivalent of a 'Danny Graham' type player would be just the ticket. A wily old bugger who brings something the others don't... Surely, this would be the time to utilise our apparent relationship with the big NW clubs to get a stand out loan deal in?
  5. We are having a good run. We've had them before. They've usually been followed by a much longer losing one. We all hope that for once, this isn't the case. Kevin Gallagher after yesterday's game summed it up well for me. Last year he thought we had a good squad. One that (in his opinion), should have had us where we are now. The fact we finished so low, did not reflect well on TM. IMO his body language and general demeanour last season, was appalling. Players left and the jury was/is still out on the summer recruitment. Gallagher predicted we would be 15th -17th this season. The words he used yesterday, were that Mowbray had 'stumbled' upon this current side. That does not indicate good planning, but by circumstance. I think most people, who haven't got their head up their blue and white arse, would agree with that. I have wanted Mowbray out. Yet at this juncture, it is churlish to call for his head. More than anything, I want Rovers to get back to the Prem. It's the only way we will ever move forward. One team always 'over- performs: and goes close. Let's hope this year it is us. Let's hope Mowbray has the best 9 months of his management career. As for your 'real fans' comment. I would argue that fans have always got behind the team at games. If the atmosphere has been dull, it's usually down to performance/tactics. 'Most fans stuck with the manager.' Can't agree with that either. I would say most wouldn't have batted an eyelid if he left/was sacked. They simply accepted that the club aren't/weren't proactive enough to do anything about it. My last 2 penneth. Yesterday, I saw a team with a lot of academy graduates (including a few genuine 'ones' of our own). Who fought and scrapped for everything whilst also showing some quality. That is the Rovers I love. If TM keeps that moving forward, then every credit to him. So let' just sit back and enjoy the ride. We've had little to get excited about for the last 11 years and you never know how much fuel is in the tank!
  6. Have to be honest. Been pretty much out of love with rovers for a while. Went today more to get out of Christmas decorating at home! Have to say I loved the passion from the players. Not a great game but they wore their hearts on their sleeves. May have just sold me a half season ticket. On another note, pleased that a good section of the crowd applauded that poor lad from Birmingham after 6 mins.
  7. Grade A example of why loaning in these lower prem kids is a waste of time. He should be sent packing back to Brighton after that. Just like that stupid challenge Braithwaite made at Boro. How the hell is he in the team ahead of Carter? At least if Carter does it, he learns from it - so it's some benefit to our club. Piss off Mowbray.
  8. Just brought a left back on, to replace the centre forward playing on the right wing. That's better 🤦🏻‍♂️
  9. Mowbray death spiral n full swing. It wasn't going to take much to derail this season. As usual though it was injuries to the only competent defenders on the books. Hopefully TM gets a earful from a large following.
  10. Reality check all round there. All about staying up this season as expected. Then binning Mowbray.
  11. That is absoloutely fucking garbage defending. One of the worst goals I've ever seen us concede.
