  1. He had an awful shot after it came to him after Armstrong held onto it on the counter too long He’s not been bad overall in my opinion though
  2. Armstrong needs to learn that sometimes a pass is the right option
  3. Argh Kaminski will be disappointed to be beat at his near post but too easy to get there
  4. Oh my word what a finish that is Thierry Henry would be proud
  5. Absolutely disgusting, just read that. These guys need sending back to the stone age
  6. 1-0 loss tonight and 2 wins in 15 but still above a few others He needs an upturn in results though or Dunn may not see January!
  7. Wonder if ground swapping would be allowed? Lets say Chorley were to draw Liverpool at home, no fans could attend as it stands but a swap to Anfield would allow for at least some to be in attendance but I suppose at the moment that would only be home fans? Sad that so much can be taken away from it but that’s what we are working with I only know reference to Marine because Sam Barnes was on loan there not long back so kept an eye out for their scores
  8. In tales of strikers gone by, I see Dom Sam scored at weekend whilst Jordan Rhodes came on as a sub for Sheff Wednesday at half time and was subbed back off 40 minutes later for tactical reasons
  9. The squad has a nice balance to it, the long game recruitment is starting to look really good thanks to Gallagher and Brereton now delivering and the shape we are adopting. Armstrong firing on all cylinders. Having the likes of Dolan and Elliott along with Brereton and Gallagher all vying for 2 wide forward positions is a lovely little battle. Then you have the likes of Holtby, Rothwell, Dack, Trybull, Johnson, Travis and co options centrally. Still think we are relatively low on options at the back but Williams and Wharton are proving (when fit) to be decent options with Nyambe and Douglas great first choice full backs. Kaminski looks inspired, his presence seems to really steady and organise those in front of him. Huge credit due there, I’ll be surprised if we go up still but I think top 6 is now something we should be disappointed if we don’t achieve with what we have. I don’t think we’ll be far off either
  10. Delighted he’s starting to come good and his improvement is obvious, long May it continue. Not going to rewrite history some of his previous performances were laughably bad, it seemed every game he’d shank one out for a throw or trip himself up, the glimpses of promise were few and far between. The lack of fans and thus pressure has been a huge boost for him even though the fans were very patient in the grounds, when we can return you feel he’ll benefit from getting up and going in the quieter times. Is it a bargain? Not yet, could it turn out to be? Yes! And I didn’t think I’d say that 6 months or so ago
  11. Would be interested to know how many touches Kaminski had in the second half! So pleased with Brereton steadily chipping in now, any doubts in his own mind should be at ease now which is important and also Dolan scoring again after a quieter spell and a difficult time shows he’s here to stay as well!
  12. B-E-A-utiful! The type of football poetry that only seems to happen against us
  13. Sad that it’s not on the red button, think I’ll just be following along on Twitter for updates Been a while since we’ve got a result there, hope tonight changes that
  14. The recent shirt produced by footballtown.com and some of the stuff theterracestore.com are doing is exactly the sort of stuff that sells these days and combine nostalgia with a bit of class https://footballtown.com/collections/united-kingdom/products/the-red-rose https://theterracestore.com/collections/all/blackburn
  15. Yep, part of me thinks then why is he on the bench, then another part of me thinks maybe Tony is doing him a solid by keeping him involved with the lads. Football may be a good therapy though
  16. Anyway ref aside there’s plenty of opportunity to win that game and it took them scoring for us to ever look like doing it it seems
  17. Plenty on Twitter raging that Brereton didn’t get a penalty, the booking is a joke but not sure how it could be a penalty outside the box
  18. I haven’t bought a single pass this season, it’s not the clubs fault but the quality is abysmal and the real time lag makes it almost pointless for me
  19. Odd one when there isn’t any speculation as such but let’s be honest buying ‘cheap’ and selling high is a dream for CEO’s I imagine it’s their ideal scenario, sell at a premium in January as it validates the work they are doing from a commercial standpoint They will be pointing to Ollie Watkins and hoping for the same story here Problem being Brentford have a decent track record of replacing with similar prospects, would we?
  20. He’s very vocal (when he’s not suffering from Covid) and I think he probably helps organise the defence even on the goal within seconds against Reading
  21. I like Neil Yardley for what it’s worth, top bloke as well. I wonder what Wendy is up to these days, we must have been ahead of the curve with a lady commentator! Finally pulled myself away from CNN and saw the goals, Lovely finish from Brereton and the little clipped balls from Elliott are a delight!
