  1. You don't know that .He is weighing up his options which is what any other player would do in his position.
  2. Yes and Obafemi is clearly at the top of that shortlist.Like I said whatever new striker we get wont be available for West Brom anyway and only one other game against Boro before the window shuts .
  3. Exactly plus he is only 20 he will mature, and that interview he did suggests he realises he needs to knuckle down and be more professional. I don't think Dembele would be a bad option but his record suggests he isn't a prolific goalscorer and at 24 he is 4 years older than Obafemi. IV not seen anything of Healey apart from highlights from YouTube and although he looks like he knows where the back of the net is,the majority of his career has been spent in league 1 and the French second division and he is 6 years older than Obafemi
  4. I don't agree that Mowbray should drop his interest in Obafemi just because he is taking his time over making a decision over his future. It's a big choice, he could live or die in terms of his career development with his next move. Its not everyone's dream to play for Blackburn Rovers, he will have other interest and do not blame him for taking his time . We will have no new striker for West Brom anyway and only one other game before the end of the transfer window and the International break. We will be making enquiries over other strikers anyway In the event the Obafemi deal doesn't hsppen I would prefer Obafemi to any of the other strikers we have been linked with personally.
  5. Gary Cahill having a medical at Bournemouth.Good signing if it goes through
  6. Yeah Barry Fry did say that but he isn't going to say he is available, they will want the best price possible. He is out of contract at the end of the season if they get an offer of a couple of million can see them selling, wether we will be in the race to sign him I have no idea
  7. Obafemi deal not dead https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19524104.latest-blackburn-rovers-interest-michael-obafemi/
  8. They said be two weeks before he was back and I think that was last week. Perhaps the centre back from City
  9. Yeah but my point was he was calling out posters for "blindly supporting Buckley". The other guy you quoted was just defending Buckley.
  10. He has been feeling tightness on his hamstring that's why he was left out
  11. We will use our loans and a permanent striker will be brought in imo We need a left sided centre half if we are going to be playing 3 at the back at times this season
  12. Yes but we would be reliant on not facing the injury issues we had last season. Don't think all the 12 that departed need replacing be we do need another 4 or 5 being brought in.
  13. Agreed he should have finished it off but he still played his part in our win.If he keeps getting into those positions then he will get a few goals
  14. And some are hell bent on never giving him any credit . Did you give him credit in the Swansea game?Any credit for the wonderful pass which led to our opening goal. He played alright tonight notthing special but not awful either which you seem intent on making out , his finishing was poor but he isn't the first player in the world to miss a couple of chances. He is getting into good positions
  15. That loan move to Burton has worked wonders for Carter. He looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights when he first appeared for us in the championship. Was extremely impressed with him tonight. We should be looking at getting loan moves for McBride,Vale ,Garrett and a few others
  16. Get in. Chapman did very well after coming on.Carter defended very well.Ayala top class Hopefully nothing serious with Rothwell has started the season with end product
  17. I get where your coming from but we hadnt sold a player for 15 million earlier in the window. It's only since Armstrong has been sold that we have had any mention of permanent signings. If relying on loans from Premier League acadamies then it was always going to be later rather than sooner to get them in as the clubs keep them around. He sounded surprised when he first mentioned the possibility of a permanent player or 2 coming in when he first mentioned it when Armstrong was close to the move to Southampton. If he now has more money than expected then he will be targetting a better standard of player. It's not a one of here anyway, last season the majority of our signings were made late, only Kaminski arrived early
  18. That was pre Armstring Some random site said we had an interest and besides with the Armstrong money arriving and TM hinting he has better scope to make deals if there ever was an interest then maybe it was ourselves who moved on.
  19. Fair play but he was absolutely dogshit here and there would have been uproar on here JHRover included if we had given him a new deal
  20. Where exactly have Luton got? Steady on, a good start to the season but unless they get promoted or finish in the top 6 should we really be looking on in envy? As for Bell could it not be as simple that he wanted regular first team games? He was in and out of the team here and is not a very good player. If we were signing the players that Luton have I can almost guarantee that you would be critical of it
  21. What are you talking about ? Pretty much the same as every window? 7 on Brererton, 5 on Gallagher the multitude of other signings that were expensive,Holtby ,Ayala etc. Every season he has been here he has brought plenty of players in in the summer. Ayala, Johnson ,Downing were not cheap deals for the club. Last summer I remember you criticizing the club when it appeared we had lost out on Ayala, saying we wouldn't spend the money to bring him in.That was a costly deal as we're the other free transfer signings we have done in the last 3 years.
  22. Article suggests to me that Armstrong's replacement will be a permanent deal and the rest loans When he speaks about having 5 or 6 names on a list to replace Arma. I do think we will spend money on a forward
