  1. Nixon saying he been told that Mowbray stays and that he is already lining up deals and in talks with players ffs
  2. Why would he come up here when he was unhappy up north with Burnley?
  3. I know for a fact Keane was spoken too on more than one occasion about the Celtic job. That isn't from the media either.
  4. I agree he shouldn't be given any more money, but if the owners feel he can't be trusted with any more cash then why haven't they sacked him. In Mowbray's tenure I will give them some credit for backing him financially and not selling any of his better players but it is just pure negligence to leave the manager and the rest of the sub standard coaching staff in situ. We are obviously right at the bottom of their list of priorities.I really do not understand how these people haven't lost the family fortune if they treat their other businesses the same way they do us
  5. Rotherham still have Brentford and Barnsley to play away from home.Play Coventry and Birmingham too. Hard to see another win with the way we have been playing and with Mowbray still in charge,so hopefully we can scrape a draw or too and hope results are kind in other matches. Echo others comments , unbelievable we are in the position we are in.Have never been Mowbray's biggest fan but let myself get carried away after what on paper I thought was a decent summer window and the performances at the beginning of the season and didn't want him sacked until performances took a massive downturn so apologies to anyone I had disagreements with over it and fair play for your foresight.
  6. If they choose another manager from the same agency then it will prove furthermore that have learnt sweet F**k all Like Chaddy says the last four managers appointed from that particular agency's stable and they were all failures.
  7. Rumours? They have come from mercer who I can't remember being right about anything
  8. Would agree with you I wanted him gone many times since he joined, was absolutely fuming when we appointed him in the first place. I got carried away after our good start and on paper was happy with the summer signings so wanted to see how we did, but it was clear he should have been potted before the January window. Hopefully he goes tonight/tomorrow but with the way he has been talking about next season through the media just don't think he is going anywhere
  9. In fairness his last promotion was in 2011 was it?Ten years ago and he has had to take a job in league one to get back into the game. We need to go for someone on the up or someone who has recent success not someone because they have a promotion on their CV X amount of years ago. Would love Wilder myself.Id be in favour of a sporting director but only if someone credible not a Shebby Singh or Paul Senior
  10. Why would you want Adkins? Do you want the club to have ambition or just keep appointing has beens?
  11. I disagree, if we agreed to a 40% sell on then it's bad business in my opinion. It wasn't like we were fighting off a host of clubs for his signature.Barring a brief spell when on loan at Barnsley he had done nothing at championship level. He had a very poor spell at Bolton before signing here. Even after we bought him he was nothing special in league 1,only in the last 12 months his performance have gone up a level. If the media story about Newcastle being in for him at 16 million is correct then the clause won't be 40% as no way is anyone paying more than 20 million for Adam Armstrong, especially with a year left on his deal. And if the plan is to bring young players in to sell on at a profit when needed then it would be ridiculous to agree to 40%
  12. If any truth to that then I doubt Newcastle have a figure as high as 40% that has been previously reported. Surely must be 20% tops
  13. Without a sporting director or competent people in place behind the scenes I'd be worried selecting a manager from abroad who hasn't worked in this country before. The squad needs rebuilding and with the UK leaving the EU it will be harder to recruit from abroad with our likely budget. I appreciate this season untested foreign managers have done well, at Reading and Barnsley in particular but from what I have read they didn't have much to do with the recruitment of their players. Don't think we have the set up behind the scenes to assist an incoming manager from abroad with no prior experience in this country.Id be all for scouring European leagues if we had such a set up or even a settled squad that with the correct coaching could push on. Carvalhal and Jokanovic would be two id be happy with. Wilder would be my choice
  14. It's excellent.Im on season 4 episode 3 and it just keeps getting better
  15. I'm sure he can speak for himself but surely that should apply the other way round aswell? As every time Buckley has a bad game he gets posts thrown at him saying how useless Buckley is and how he will never make it at this level. As far as I can recall Paul Mani never said Buckley was worth 10 million? He said he had heard from the staff they believe he could be a 10 million player and he was the one the staff felt had a real chance of being a premier League player
  16. He said it well before Buckley was a regular in the squad
  17. He does run such stories about other players? He has De Gea back to Spain a couple of week ago and now he saying to PSG. And is it a surprise that other clubs are interested In Armstrong and it is being reported on? He is young, English and has had a decent scoring season he also has only 1 year left in his contract so don't see how you can suggest it's something sinister with Nixon reporting possible interest?
  18. If Wilder leaves Sheffield United then he would be my choice
  19. In fairness he has been poor but like we do not see him everyday but Ancellotti who is a top manager saw fit to give him his premier League debut last season and include him in many match day squads this season so to be fair I'd give him a bit more time before I'd make a judgement on him.He has had one or two good games here aswell
  20. Clown?I will say he has been poor in recent matches but Lenihen had just a poor spell earlier in the season. He isn't ours and I'd rather see a contracted player play if we had the option. But I would be willing to bet that Braintwhaite will have a better career than any of our contracted centre halves.Contracted to a premier league club and rated by Ancellotti who would know a lot more than us.Reportedly being tracked by Manchester United. Labelling a 19 year old a clown after half a dozen matches is pathetic imo
  21. Jordan Rhodes joining Bolton. Neil to be installed as manager by the end of the week. Every player to be sold in the summer as we are on the brink of financial Armageddon
