Commentator had just said that Mowbray has sat both Raya and Leutweiler down and said he is bringing in a new keeper in the Summer. Now they could mean a reserve keeper but that sounded like a new number one. #fingerscrossed

You watch phoned-in performances like this and wonder if Butterworth and/or Buckley might have been more keen. Mowbray is probably protecting them to an extent but most of these players are already on the beach.

Just watching the Sheff Utd v Ipswich game. The commentator just mentioned that Norwich “only need a point to secure Premier League status for next season but realistically it’s all about the title”. That can’t be right surely.

Sincerely hope that Mowbray doesn’t get any ideas about offering Leutweiler a new contract.

What a soap opera! Chairman goes onto his own club website to announce that a third party won’t/can’t play his players’ wages. The cupboard must be well and truly bare. Bolton need a miracle.

Free transfer so only the wages to worry about. Would Rodwell be on less?

That’s more like it. Not an insult in sight. Thank you. Let’s agree to disagree on the semantics of “better season” and move on. Now, have we got a better platform than them? Depends. If we have spent our budget and are now looking for freebies and loans then we are relying on Brezza to come good and fast. We are also relying on another age-defying fitness season from Graham and Lenihan not leaving. Wigan need to invest too - have they got the capital? They could well struggle next season if they don’t strengthen, as could we. The Summer for both clubs will be very telling. We are short but Mowbray says he knows that we need a new spine. Let’s see if he follows through.
