  1. I don’t disagree with any of this but how does this fit in with his narrative of a ‘long term project’? A multiple season strategy was never going to run completely to plan - particularly given how poorly we are run (which isn’t exactly a secret) I think he’s right to be ‘fuming’ about what’s happened, but surely even some basic research before taking the job would have lead to it not coming as a surprise. Maybe he just thought, “they can’t be as bad as I’ve heard”…
  2. If that’s it, why hasn’t the appeal been rejected yet? Of course it could already have been turned down and nobodies thought to let us know…
  3. I’d say that money makes success easier but it doesn’t make it inevitable
  4. Chelsea and City were mid table teams at the time
  5. https://www.efl.com/-more/governance/efl-rules--regulations/efl-regulations/section-6---players/ clause 47.3.1
  6. The deal sheet only confirms that negotiations have been concluded (and the fee if applicable) prior to the deadline. I’ve no idea if we submitted one of these or not.
  7. Surely to be ‘within reason’ it needs to be within their own regulations? Otherwise all clubs would have to second guess what would have to be included in any deal
  8. I think people are surmising it based on IF the ‘what if we’re relegated’ reason is the real reason. Of course, as you say, none of us know if this is the reason or not - there’s every chance we never will!
  9. Business to Business and Court of Arbitration for Sport (I assume) Beaten to it…
  10. But their own regulations don’t insist on this clause
  11. I agree with that but would add I think some fans would return under different ownership/senior management whether that meant a successful team on the pitch or not
  12. I very nearly ‘came back’ after the Oxford United game - but the price of tickets was a bit too much for me. I still follow Rovers very closely but I’ve found other things to do with my time - maybe this makes me a bad fan but I’d need to see some significant improvements (I don’t mean on the pitch) to ‘revert’ that time (and money) back to attending matches.
