  1. Exactly, words are meaningless now he's misjudged the intensity of this rivalry and gone for the safety first approach. It's backfired big style so the best way to remedy it is get them up for another big one and take it out on them. Refreshed, fit and raring to go there is absolutely NO excuse not to turn in a full bloody 95 mins in your face effort against another set of local gobshites. Anything less and he's putting himself firmly in the firing line.
  2. Again another one twisting the narrative. People are unhappy with the performance or lack of it more than anything, it shouldn't need explaining.
  3. Who is calling for his head ? Your post is just an over reaction in itself and doesn't really mirror the overriding opinions on here. Why in some heads is it always ok to have a go at supporters and not the plonkers being paid 10k a week to play football ?
  4. When we have lightweight loanees and a guy with one cup appearance in front of Blackburn lads who happen to be also amongst the best players it won't help. Badly needed a David Dunn type out there. All we saw and heard about on the day was how much it meant to Burnley, their dodgy chairman seemed to grasp it well enough as did their new gaffer. As for us just a shrug of the shoulders 'poor fans, poor young team it's a shame for them ' but it's just a project where we don't seem entitled to expect anything.
  5. I think he could have fallen into the trap of thinking it'll be like the Blackpool and Wigan games. Lots of derbies this season and apart from staff around the club who above him is saying hey don't fuck this one up. Waggot ? no chance, Pasha ? No idea, Broughton ? the Owners ? - it's the age old Venky era problem at Rovers, nobody upstairs understands anything.
  6. He already has a more experienced forward but he never uses him.
  7. Because yesterday and numerous times this season they don't play out from the back they play across their own 6 yard box, invite the opposition to close us down then pass to someone under pressure stood on the touchline who then loses it. It's a fooking shameless shambles of a tactic that achieves nothing except invite trouble. When the tv commentators are saying why ? The opposition fans are saying why ? And neutrals watching on telly say why ? You know something is up it isn't just us picking holes in it and us being 3rd in the league, before anyone parrots up, is more to do with being defensively resolute when backs to the wall and BBD than anything else.
  8. Why keep on instructing Kaminsky, Ayala etc to try and play keep ball on the edge of their own six yard box, then pass to a player under pressure on the touchline before losing the ball and conceding/nearly conceding.
  9. Most worrying thing for me is we've seen that approach in nearly every away game and 9 times now we've heard exactly the same post match comments. Bad decisions on the ball. project, inconsistent, young players, lacked intensity - not tactical ( not my fault gov) NINE times the same old schtick after the same old performances, away from home IT IS NOT WORKING Jon !!!!! We are 3rd in the league largely because of home results and ironically the few times we've gone away and started on the front foot we've won. So yes partly at least it IS tactical and ;lack of coming from behind to even eek out a few draws often after giving goals away being caught out at the back is the work of bottle jobs.
  10. They do it how it's supposed to be done though crisp quick passes yards OUTSIDE their own box. They also have outlets wide and up top for a long ball. What we try is schoolboy stuff by comparison. They can't go wrong this season imo as they have a bit of everything, what we saw today was some of the footballing ethos Kompany is drilling into them plus the odd drop of the Dyche direct physical style. B@stards !
  11. Good player but too lightweight and goes hiding far too often just like today but that can be a problem with loaness. Oh how we could have done with Van Hecke today his attitude was the exception to the rule.
  12. Middlemen on a very cushy number i'd say. Life for them at Ewood is a journey to their pension fund that's why Mowbray fit in so well.
  13. Sounds like the owners don't want to get out of this league they just want a gaffer adding value to young players. Mowbrays answer was stick them out of position to try and improve their weak points instead of playing to their strengths. JDTs answer is to get them playing in their own box and hanging onto the ball unless a backwards pass is available. Yet the owners hang on to better players resisting cashing in and allow money to be spent on Hyam, Brittain etc. NON of it makes sense. just who is so determined inside Ewood to put the brakes on and insist a water treading softly softly approach. One were promotion would almost be by accident instead of design ?
  14. It's the same ones trotting out the same shite as they always do. League position doesn't matter in games like today we could be treading water in midtable or pointless at the bottom. The general feeling would still be annoyance at what was served up today it was as insipid and self destructive as you'll see anywhere from anyone all season. The actual fact we went into it in second place with everything to play for makes it even worse. There's no excuse not to turn up when we are good enough to be in that position in the first place.
  15. This. Whoever is coaching that nonsense at the back needs firing into orbit even the tv pundits can't make any sense of it. Today its cost goals us again for the fourth or fifth time away from home this season. Pathetic and being 3rd in the league still doesn't cover for it because we look odds on to fall off a cliff again soon like last season. Once everyone has it sussed even the poorer sides will make us pay like they have frequently anyway.
  16. Absolute shock and of course their fans never even looked our way i suppose.
  17. Really struggling for words for that second half. Abject is the only one i can come up with. Seething is how i am and not because of the loss i expected that but the performance, the whole thing was the usual dire away stuff. Nothing whatsoever is being learned and as the season goes on and we play teams a second time i fear we'll see more of that.
  18. Keep BBD and take the hit the transfer fee in Jan would be pitiful anyway and will disappear in running costs. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to do a major retake. If he's gone in summer along with Dack then Broughton and Tomasson have some wiggle room to get some quality in. No point i can see in selling him in January unless some club is chucking 10 million in with a big dollop up front. Remember guys it isn't your money landing in your bank account, as fans we want the best 11 out there and give ourselves the best chance possible to finish as high as possible. To me that means with Brereton who over the last 2 years has become a vital cog in the wheel of how this team plays.
  19. Bowyer did well for us i'll always be happy to shake his hand or buy him a pint. His limitations were blindingly obvious though and along with Lowe etc his use of TC was one of them. Believe me he isn't the only one who regularly questioned Gary, what a waste of that squad.
  20. I think it was reported at the time as was the purchase of Gally at 3 mill with add ons to 5 mill. Safe to say that's where the Raya money went.
  21. Stereotypical Burnley hool toothless, self made tattoos done whilst in jail, about 8 stone wet through, vodka bottle in his back pocket, wants to fight everybody but only when he's backed up by about 50 others. Probably thought he was part of a mass pitch invasion.
  22. The Silly Squad are high tech these days i expect drones dropping bricks and laser guided missiles on anyone with a Blackburn accent.
  23. Please please price it nicely and lets have a crowd in for the young team who've helped get us this far.
