I'm glad you've said that as when i said similar on a facebook post i got jumped on by 2 or 3 taking it as a dig at Mowbray. The pathetic cult lives on but it wasn't a dig at all i didn't even mention his name. Anyway of course he used to get a few fist team squad members a bit of time in there but there is a marked difference between first teamers coming back from injury, academy players stepping up but still flitting between the two. And established squad members not being picked and having it suggested to them they might want to think about the odd game for the youth. It is definitely a thing with this head coach and his staff to put players in and keep them busy on Saturdays they aren't selected to be on 1st team duty. Of course it makes it easier with the amount of youngsters making up the first team so there are no age issues. Now it seems to be a requirement rather than an option which in my eyes is the right way to go. -

Good, Bucko needs some games back in there to find himself again. -

We might be starting the season after in league 1 if that's the case and that's a step too far backwards to go forwards again. -
I'd actually tipped Benn to win on points i thought he'd might have outworked Eubank. By the sounds of it that might not have been far off no wonder he was so confident against the odds. Cheating little twerp ruined it for everyone and there's no tainted meat excuse with this one.

If there is a way to cock any ticket sales up Rovers will find it.

Its got to be annoying for the managers as well because there are mikes under their nose all the time these days. In house club tv and radio stations, social media channels and accounts on top of all the traditional media stuff. They just end up in their own echo chambers because there is only so much you can spin about the same things over and over again. -

It's got like that across the championship more and more in recent years way over tactical. Like the playing side of it you've got a lot of decent but limited young or experienced managers and coaches all trying to be Pep or Klopp. -
That's where the lack of trains helps matters as traditionally large groups sticking together travel that way. I think it was the cup game mid 2000s when a group from Blackburn got pulled off a train scheduled to arrive in Burnley AFTER the kick off. Clear what the intentions were there and in a fixture at Ewood, maybe the return leg, Police dragged several hundred Burnley off at Rishton and marched them all the way to Ewood. No trains has a massive bearing on this.

Love Souness what an impact he had here and is down in history as one of our best managers. Ok it went sour at the end but he cleaned a mess up when he came in and we had a spectacular few years and he is a great example to ownership. Get the right man and back him and he will deliver, stop backing him and he won't, go for cheaper options and you'll go back to where you started.

No trains. The majority will still bus it there.

Have we ended up playing this way to accommodate the likes of Morton and maybe protecting Ayala;s lack of pace ? I really hope not that would be such a Mowbray thing to do and we do still retain half his coaching staff who must have some kind of input. -
That's the only reason they've allowed no bubble for this.

The owners obviously aren't bothered and whilst we blame managers it's probably them or their minions behind the scenes pushing these journey or project narratives. It's just bullshit covering over for the lack or any real desire to get to the Prem instead it's a plod. Happy to lose a certain amount every year but don't want it to get too much and affect other businesses. Meanwhile just let it carry on quietly whilst causing the least amount of bother in India and just play with it now and again. All the while some people in the middle running it for the owners are on a very nice little number. -

I like JDT i think he has something about him and i want him to do well, he isn't doing badly just ok and that will have to do for now. However i am disappointed he seems to be going over old ground and there isn't much difference on the pitch as time goes on between him and Mowbray. I was really hoping for fresh ideas and more drive and verve with more of a winning mentality especially after all the bold talk. So i understand the concern and frustration, yes it's still early days but it's a familiar pattern with lopsided tactics and players individual talents being overlooked in the pursuit of a dead end style. Never mind, when we beat Burnley he'll be the dogs whatsits ! -

We hit on a system last season that suited travis and one or two others but it was built on not dallying on the ball at the back and having an outlet with an inform BBD or sometimes Khadra. No sign of that now and this possession at the back game doesn't suit players like Trav. It didn't a couple of seasons ago so no surprise it doesn't now it did however suit the Evans's and Trybull's better. We only only moved away from it because they left but now we've gone back but don't have the personnel. -

Could understand it a bit more if the plan was balls over the top after drawing them out. No point in that though with the way we set up but if you want to go away and grind a point it's standard championship stuff. -

Where is the high press high intensity the head coach has papped on about since he walked through the door ? You can count the times we have seen that on one hand and it has usually been against the better sides who sit off a bit and allow it. The way he sets up and the style he is implementing is anything but high intensity high press so either hes given up on that already or he doesn't know how to do it really. -

We've just got another guy who instead of looking at the squad, last season etc and seeing how to improve it, has just got several players he's trying to shoehorn in and drilling a system he wants instead of what suits them. We are also back to rotate and sub just for the sake of it. -

The style of play and tactics are the root cause of us subduing ourselves rather than the opposition but we've been here before. There is naff all urgency at Blackburn Rovers to do anything other than plod on. -

We've gone back 2 seasons when we should be kicking on with new ideas, it's like that old goat is still here.
