Now we are being told by NIxon Rovers were willing to shell out 26 grand a week on a loan signing for Davies. Surely that brass would be better spent on securing Brereton so he's worth something in years to come. And bringing in another good player of our own ? Nothing ever makes sense here.

Zero or next to zero chance of that re-investment happening though and even if some did it would be next summer. So as fans and team are we better just getting what we can out of him for another season ? Surely he'd be out to impress potential suitors so should have a good season. They don't need the money back they seem to have a certain amount per year they need to 'lose' in Rovers books so desperately getting money back on players isn't their aim. Main thing is imo somebody at the top pulling it all together, directing it in the right direction for the good of the club and fans before all else. That's what we've had in the past when we've been punching our weight or above it so do we have that now ? Not so sure myself but we are about to find out.
