  1. Why are they messing about? They're entitled to reject any offer they're not happy with. If we really want him we should stop pissing about, offer what they want and get the deal done. If not look elsewhere and fast.
  2. Am I imagining things? I thought we made him permanent to much fan fare before New year and he has been paraded as a new signing even though he was already here.
  3. Been made permanent so guess we can expect 2 loans in as a cheap and cheerful stopgap.
  4. Will the Court not just say "You've had £22m in for Adam Wharton, you don't need to transfer any more money over" on March 12th now?
  5. Yep. I could understand people saying I was being harsh if he'd brought in one or maybe two who'd played regularly but been a bit disappointing but he's brought in THREE who haven't scored a League goal between them! As I said the other week if he'd been deliberately signing players to fail he couldn't have done better. Sorry to hear about your daughter BTW.
  6. Well £22m plus the potential to receive another £20m if he makes a huge move in future is good. £22m in total is a terrible deal. Has there been any word about a potential sell on clause?
  7. Other way round. People hate the owners so much they're reluctant to attribute any blame towards GB.
  8. Would you say Mowbray and Venus's recruitment was good? I'd say on the whole that was very poor as well but even they came up with Dack and Armstrong at bargain prices. Brereton also arguably. Broughton has made one very good signing. The rest of it has been incredibly poor. (So far)
  9. Brittain certainly has been. Incredibly disappointing but I'll agree he looked an OK acquisition at the time.
  10. So the Court hearing was postponed on the 23rd, the initial Wharton bid comes in "coincidentally" the same day, we don't manage to negotiate much of an upgrade and he's out of the door within seven days. We can move quickly when we want to.
  11. Rather think she's got more taste than that. Beats me why people stick up for him. He has no previous experience as a DOF, his recruitment has been absolutely dire AND he oversaw the transfer window debacle 12 months ago. Seems as though because he isn't Venky's or Waggott people will gladly take anything short of Attilla the Hun in comparison.
  12. Come on, he hasn't had a massive budget, but has signed THREE strikers who haven't scored a single Championship goal for us and blew the summer budget on Wahlstedt.
  13. Steady on den. We'll have no common sense on here. That plan would give us the best chance of success AND give us some genuine hope to hold on to. Give yourself a stern talking to.
  14. They're both as bad as one another, nowhere have I ever said Waggott shouldn't be sacked, I detest the man.
  15. Won't happen. Is there real pressure on Waggott from anywhere to be sacked? Broughton will fritter away whatever money is allocated and we'll limp on, business as usual.
  16. That bit's right, and this deal (if it goes through) has only accelerated that likelihood.
  17. Given Dunn didn't really fulfil his potential Wharton "should" far surpass what he achieved.
  18. JDT made a point of saying in his post match interview last night that he told the Club what he wanted in summer and they didn't provide it and we'd see if this window was any different.
  19. The problem with the above is that if GB muffs up the recruitment again it's unlikely anyone will sack him and he definitely won't walk.
  20. Sounds like we couldn't get him out of the door fast enough.
