  1. You don't have to agree with it. We're now short of money whereas Mowbray Spent £5m on Gallagher - dead money Paid Mulgrew £2m over 2 seasons to play for League 1 Clubs By his own admission refused to extend the contracts of key players during Covid because he didn't want to upset the others Paid Ben Gladwin to get himself fit even though he was out of contract £15k p.w for Stuart Downing then gave him a new deal for him to never play albeit on reduced terms Millions of pounds wasted on crap loanees - again dead money But no, none of it is St. Tony's fault.
  2. It's the most important one though wouldn't you say? Without good recruitment or at least SOME good recruitment you're screwed.
  3. Because imo he is largely at fault for the overall predicament we now find ourself in. As is Waggott, As is Broughton. I'm astounded you can't see that. Ultimately all the owners responsibility of course as their name's over the door and they're the ones who employed these clowns.
  4. 100%. What sort of a DOF maintains radio silence during a transfer window?
  5. The most worrying thing (apart from the owners) is the CEO at the head of the Club running the whole operation. He's freely admitted results don't matter to him so what hope is there of any positive action being taken to try and remedy the situation at any point?
  6. It must be wonderful living in this alternative universe where we're only a couple of signings (which aren't coming anyway) away from turning the corner. Whilst having no concerns whatsoever about the carnage the Club finds itself in. The entire future of the Club is very much in the balance and appears to be hanging by a thread.
  7. The fact you absolve Mowbray of any responsibility for our current predicament is equally bizarre to me but it's crying over spilt milk to a certain degree, we are where we are now despite the fact it's due to a wide combination of factors and shite management over a number of years. In answer to your last question, the money did materialise last January didn't it but Greg the Egg couldn't get the O Brien deal over the line. More recently the reason the money hasn't materialised is due to the sanctions imposed by the Indian Government. Unless you're a conspiracy theorist who thinks its all made up. All the owners fault in the first instance obviously.
  8. Difficult to compare them like for like as the amount of money Mowbray spent/pissed up against the wall/didn't spend when it was available, bears no resemblance whatsoever to the resources JDT has had available to him. We haven't been able to spend £500k on a centre back from Crewe recently but we paid Charlie Mulgrew £20k p.w. for two seasons to play for two different League 1 Clubs. Let that sink in. The chickens have come well and truly home to roost. All that said, as one or two others have insinuated if JDT is to have a lengthy managerial career, he needs to stop feeling sorry for himself, make us a bit more difficult to beat, grind out a few results and then he can leave with his head held high as soon as he gets a decent offer.
  9. Don't. Not even in jest. He's just been interviewed on 5 live. Said it was the "start of a journey". I kid you not. Well, the "journey" he initiated here allowing key players to walk for nothing and spending £5m on garbage like Gallagher looks set to terminate in League 1 or even lower.
  10. Again, hard to disagree but shouldn't those on the ground at Ewood have pride in their own performance?
  11. I wouldn't be happy with Hyam the way he's been "performing" recently.
  12. Symptomatic of a coach/DOF and playing squad under no pressure to achieve results from management.
  13. Difficult to see where the next win is coming from, if we can't beat either Rotherham or Huddersfield at home, who CAN we beat? Anyhow let's start a new Gallagher stat we know is correct. 0% win rate since his return to the side.
  14. Good point. That'll leave us what, a week to get any business done? Not a lot of time - good job we have a DOF who will be able to get deals done quickly at the end of the window! Oh wait..............
  15. The Brum fans seem to think very highly of him. I think this could be a good signing as a stop gap solution to stir things up a bit for the rest of the season but as a long term option to bolster our striking resources it's more can kicking down the road unfortunately.
  16. Low scoring and injury prone? As close to a Gallagher clone as you could get! In all seriousness when he's played against Rovers in the past (usually off the bench) I've always thought he was a proper handful (Completely unlike Gallagher) The age is an issue though would only really be a temporary fix to ruffle things up for the rest of the season and get us over the line.
  17. He hasn't been playing badly for a "few" games, he was crap in the second half of last season as well. He was a virtual ever present in a side which only mustered 30 points from the final twenty six games of last season. And the "injury" excuse can't be cited in his defence for last season. He just isn't that good.
  18. I was thinking that myself. Hyam isn't a patch on Lenihan imo and neither of them are a patch on JPVH when he was here. Not sure how the latter is going on at Brighton.
  19. There's an army of analysts at the Club who don't have a lot to do other than sit around twiddling their thumbs. A lot of contributions in the LT comments and on social media stick out like a sore thumb to me.
  20. Yep me too. I'd go further and offload him for free just to get his wages off our books.
  21. Ah - so if despite our financial situation the owners intervened and said we are not selling Gallagher because we need him on the pitch then that would be an ownership intervention and an instance of them meddling in team affairs that you WOULD approve of? On Gallagher we've scored plenty of goals without him, that hasn't really been the issue so I don't think his return will make a scrap of difference other than hinder our fluidity going forward. The problem has been with the defence and specifically since "Leo" came in, the goalkeeper.
