  1. No - imo he's just a bang average player at best. He was crap in the second half of last season as well.
  2. Why do people peddle the line that Broughton is blameless in this deal? Also whilst the owners have now landed us in the **** - twelve months ago pre restrictions I don't see how it could have been them who vetoed the deal, they'd have had to authorise the deal in the first place for it to have reached such an advanced stage. Why would they sanction the deal in the first place only to veto it a day or two later?. We still haven't been told what went wrong with it either despite the Egg promising he would come clean but in any event as DOF its his responsibility to get deals over the line
  3. I like that, if someone wants to knock up a T shirt or sweat shirt with that logo on I'd certainly purchase. Edit: Maybe add a "Broughton" as well.
  4. But...but you said this situation with the Courts was a temporary blip which would be resolved shortly before the end of the summer transfer window.
  5. Exactly, the offers the square root of Jack shit, the fact that the best thing people can say about him is he wins the odd defensive header says it all. He's supposed to be a centre forward ffs. If we sell him for £1.5m and don't replace him so be it. We're wont be losing anything on the pitch and will be banking £1.5m. It's not a Nyambe/Lenihan/Rothwell/ BBD or even Travis situation whereby we would be losing one of our better players or even a useful one. He's an overpaid liability who should have been offloaded long ago. What will we do without that solitary goal in the second half of the season? Even on his best form he'd only be scoring 3 or 4.
  6. I'm well aware of all that but I thought it wasn't in dispute that they'd made those illegal payments hence why we're currently under the auspices of an Indian Court. Therefore I was wondering what J*B was hoping we'd "be found guilty" of when it seems to be a fait accompli.
  7. What do you mean if Venkys "get found guilty"? Of what?
  8. We'll have to see if everything just goes through on the nod in future just because it has already done once. I'm not convinced but the proof of the pudding will be in the eating. I agree with you on the paragraph above. It's the crucial bit of info that the fans groups need to find out. Are these restrictions open ended and indefinite or will they be coming to an end relatively soon. If the former then they should be selling and really Waggott as CEO of the Club should be advising them as such.
  9. Ah - I wrongly presumed you reproduced this info to show the owners in a negative light. So whilst everyone on here almost without exception views this as a fairly desperate state of affairs you're trying to frame it as something the owners should be given credit for?
  10. Waggott obviously knew about all this some time ago, hence the infamous interview about the new team bus in which he also bragged about things which seemed at the time as though they should be taken as read such as wages and tax bill having been paid. He also said as I recall something along the lines of "It's time for us to give the owners something back". What the devious sack of shit didn't say was the reason why we were supposed to be grateful bills to date had been paid and the team could no longer fly to away games etc. There's certainly been no mention whatsoever of the potential for a winding up order prior to now. Imo there is no guarantee an Indian Court will continue to authorise the tri monthly payments, the way I've read it is each and every item of expenditure has to be itemised and authorised from scratch on its own merits. However even if the payments were to be authorised for the foreseeable future and we could limp on for a while the situation isn't really sustainable in the long run as other Clubs will know we are desperate and we'll never be able to get decent money for any of our players. Ipswich already seem to have sussed this out.
  11. Changed your tune quite rapidly since saying "things could have been handled much worse" on 8th of Jan?
  12. Come off it he's signed THREE strikers since he's been at the Club and none of them have scored a goal between them! If he was deliberately signing players hoping to fail he couldn't have dared dream of such success!
  13. Spot on. I doubt anyone from the FF will have the cajones to ask those questions but we will see I suppose in upcoming Forum minutes. in the unlikely event they are asked please don't The answer to Number 2 is the crucial one and that will dictate the course of action the owners SHOULD be taking. but probably won't.
  14. Not like you to try and brush off everything the Club does as acceptable.
  15. JDT isn't really doing anyone any favours with that interview. I don't agree with him that we were as good as West Brom In the first place but IF the problem today was merely the fact that we weren't winning Personal duels, weren't smelling danger and missing chances then that wouldnt really be his fault that IS the players fault. I realise he's trying to deflect attention away from the players and not hang them out to dry in public but enough is enough, they have to take some responsibility for the mess we're in and I can't see the harm in JDT saying this simply sn't good enough from them. There's only so often the "this is happening because they're young and inexperienced" line will wash. BTW Jon January isn't turning out to be a very good month either!
  16. The only way he will do anything is if he thinks his £300k p.a. is in jeopardy. Otherwise it'll be "nothing to see here".
  17. Think he said blew money on Wahlstedt. And "decent fees by their standards" for Hyam and Szmodics. Which at the time they were.
  18. If only we were in that position now as opposed to not being able to make any signings.
  19. Can't do that, we probably haven't got another set. (Seriously)
  20. Anyone think we would get our £2.5m back for Hyam now if we tried to sell him? As for the £800k on Wahlstedt, as I've said before, would have been easier setting fire to it.
  21. Can't see him walking out and forgoing any compo, can't see us sacking him in order to avoid having to pay him said compo, it could be a game of relegation Russian roulette for the rest of the season based on how well or badly the few teams still currently below us do.
