How It Works

BRFCS 2022/23 Season Predictor

BRFCS are pleased to announce our predictor game, a brand new feature for the 2022 season.

The aim of the game is to predict a scoreline and a first Rovers goalscorer for each match and you'll accumulate points depending on how accurate these predictions are.

Once the season is underway, we'll display a leaderboard and the person sat at the top at the end of the season will be crowned champion.

FAQ

How do I get involved?

All you need is a BRFCS account - make sure you're logged in to submit predictions.

You'll automatically get entered into the BRFCS league once the season is underway.

How do I submit a prediction?

Once you're logged in, you can sumbit and update your predictions for a match up until it kicks off.

Currently you can only submit the next upcoming match but we'll open this up shortly so you can predict much further into the season in one go.

To submit your prediction, simply fill in the home and away team score input fields, choose a Rovers first scorer and press submit.

You can update your prediction as many times as you want up until the match kicks off. If you've previously submitted a prediction this should auto-populate the scorebox - if it doesn't try refreshing the page and it should show.

How do I get points?

Points are awarded for the following:

  • Exact scoreline - 3 points
  • Correct match outcome (winning team / draw) - 1 point
  • Correct Rovers first goalscorer - 3 points
  • Nominated goalscorer scores in match - 1 points

Note: points do not accumulate - the maximum score for a match is 6 points (correct scoreline and first Rovers goal scorer)

How does the league work?

Once the season gets underway the system will automatically refresh multiple times a day and the league table will get updated to display the latest standings.

What if the opposition score first?

We're only interested in Rovers goals so these are disregarded.

What if the first Rovers goal is an own-goal?

These will not count as Rovers goalscorers so will be ignored.

What about cup games?

We're only concerned with scores after the matches' regular game time (90 minutes plus injury time). The two 15 minutes periods of extra time and penalty shootouts are excluded.

Good luck...
